GROUNDS

How big is 80 acres when it is inside tens of thousands of acres?  Bigger than you can imagine!

The grounds at Paradise Lodge (and all of the grounds that are not Paradise Lodge) are yours to sample and explore.

On the Paradise Lodge grounds you will find large tended gardens (the envy of deer and of the folks living in town).  These gardens provide much of the food that is served in our dining room.

Walk on the lawns, drive golf balls, play horseshoes, visit the Rogue Museum, photograph bears and deer, and see a Pelton wheel in action (yes, we generate our own electricity).

This image is taken from a chair overlooking the grounds.  The Rogue River and Paradise Lodge are to the left.  In the distance on the right you can see the Paradise Lodge food gardens.
An evening near the top of the Paradise Lodge grounds.  Behind us is the Rogue River Trail.  In front of us is Paradise Lodge, at the edge of the Rogue River.

Peace and tranquility at Paradise Lodge.

With as many options as Zane Grey had in North America
Why did he spend more time just above Paradise than anywhere else?
